Customizations are not applied to my vCenter VM

Overview

When building a server from CloudBolt, VM customizations such as hostname, network, etc. don't seem to be applied to my new VM.

Considerations

First, make sure you have the latest VMware Tools installed on your template. You'll need the official VMware version -- not the open-source version.

If you're running the right version of VMware Tools in your template, take a look at the customization support matrix from VMware to make sure your version of vCenter and update supports the OS you're trying to install:
