How to find the version of vCLI installed on your CloudBolt server

Overview

This article can be useful for troubleshooting if you have a CloudBolt instance that has been upgraded from a previous version, and you want to see if vCLI was also properly upgraded.

Considerations

You must be a root user.

Procedure

  1.  As root, run "/usr/lib/vmware-vcli/apps/vm/vminfo.pl --version"

Example output:

[root@demo1 vmware-vcli]# /usr/lib/vmware-vcli/apps/vm/vminfo.pl --version
vSphere SDK for Perl version: 5.5.0
Script 'vminfo.pl' version: 1.0
