Purpose:
This article provides a few solutions for resolving missing SovLabs configuration policies in vRA "Items" or "Deployments (in 7.5 and above)". We also refer to them as headless policies since they still exist but do not populate correctly in the vRA web UI.
Resolution:
1. Make sure you are viewing all Items created by all users. Do this by selecting the filter and check all the Users. Validate the desired configuration was not provisioned with a different User account.
2. If the configuration is still missing, Open a connection to the vRO java console. The configuration should be listed in: vRO > Resources [tab] > Library >SovLabs > [Module Name]. Note: For back-up purposes, copy the original configuration information". (XML syntax)
3. Go into vRO - Select the workflow used for Original SovLabs Configuration depending on module. SovLabs > [Module Name] > vRA ASD > Add [Module Name] Configuration. (maybe 2 executions here?). Note: Save values for __asd_tenantRef, __asd_subtenantRef.
4. Run the SovLabs > [Module Name] > vRA ASD > Delete [Module Name] Configuration. Use the information used in the above Add request to delete the correct configuration.
5. Log into your vRA instance. Browse to Catalog > Add [Module Name] Configuration. This should recreate the Deployment that can be edited.
6. In vRA - Browse to "Items" or "Deployments (7.5 and above)" the desired Configuration should now be visible.
If this did not work continue to below for Advanced clean-up procedure:
7. In vRA - Delete the Property Group that corresponds to the desired Configuration. (ex. SovLabs-IPAMProfile-mytenantname_infoblox_host). Navigate to: Administration > Property Dictionary > Property Groups and find the corresponding Group Name to the Configuration.
8. Rerun the Original Add token in vRO. SovLabs > [Module Name] > vRA ASD > Add [Module Name] Configuration.
9. Run the SovLabs > [Module Name] > vRA ASD > Delete [Module Name] Configuration. Use the information used in the above Add request to delete the correct configuration.
10. Validate the Configuration no longer exists as XML data. Open a connection to the vRO java console. The configuration should be listed in: vRO > Resources [tab] > Library >SovLabs > [Module Name].
11. Request the desired SovLabs Configuration Policy following standard vRA Catalog Item request procedures documented here: SovLabs Modules.
