This is a quick walkthrough of how CIs created by the SovLabs ServiceNow CMDB module are affected by ServiceNow Discovery.

Here is a CI that was created by the SovLabs ServiceNow CMDB module.

It has minimal information as it was created using the Default Linux template in the SovLabs ServiceNow CMDB profile

This CI has no information populated in "Related Items"

This VM is on subnet 10.30.31.0/24, so I run the Discovery Schedule (On demand) for this IP Range:

After Running Discovery for the subnet, there is still just one CI for this machine:

But  you can see that the Serial Number has changed, and more data has been populated:
